10th Anniversary Dinner

Last night, the yeshiva held a dinner in Beit Shemesh in celebration of its 10th anniversary. Rabbi Raffi Brodie was master of ceremonies and highlighted how the yeshiva specializes in the talmid-rebbe relationship. Oftentimes today, particularly in Eretz Yisroel, yeshivas are large and unable to provide bochurim with the personal attention that is often necessary to produce talmidei chochamim. YOY, with a much higher rebbe to talmid ratio and 80 bochurim is able to provide much more personal attention.

He talked about the numerous learning programs that the yeshiva participates in, such as Ma’amid HaSiyumim. That program awards certificates to bochurim for various forms of accomplishment including completing the entire mesechta that the yeshiva is learning and preparing material for ten chaburos on sugiyos studied at the yeshiva.

Rabbi Elimelech Kornfeld, a vigorous supporter of the yeshiva, was in Bene Brak last night so he recorded a warm message which was played.

We also heard from renowned speakers Rabbis David Kaplan and Gav Friedman. The evening came to a close with words of appreciation from the Rosh Yeshiva.
